golfman Want To Improve Your Golf Game So That You Can Break 80The first thing most golfers do when it comes to improving their golf game is go out and buy a ton of expensive equipment. Well I have a little secret. I hate to tell you this but its not the equipment, its YOU. How much of a commitment have you made to practicing? How much actual time do you spend practicing? You see, you can buy all the equipment in the world but if you haven’t mastered the art of a perfect swing then guess what? You are just a wannabe golfer with a bunch of expensive equipment.

Michael Jordan is one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game. Not because of his shoes, but because he practiced. He was at practice before anyone else and he stayed after everyone else was gone. He was committed. So how do you improve your golf game? First make the commitment. Write out a schedule and stick to it. Your schedule will of course depend on your goals.

If you want to be break 80, and yes that is possible, then you have to practice at least a few days a week. If on the other hand you are just trying to improve for recreational purposes then you can practice less if you like. Either way, the amount of time and effort you put into it will determine how long it takes you to improve.

Another thing I suggest you do is buy a book or video that shows you specific exercises and techniques that will help you improve your golf game. Commit to working on the techniques and exercises and you will see improvement before you know it.

2 Simple Ways To Becoming Better At Golf

    January 6, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

gsg book l Want To Improve Your Golf Game So That You Can Break 80If you want to become a better golfer I believe there are 2 main things you need to do starting right this very moment. The first thing you need to do is make a committment. Committ to working out at least 4 to 5 times a week on your golf game. Committ to waking up in the morning and doing workouts that will help you build strength and flexibility. If you don’t make a committment you will never get better.

A good idea is to write a contract with yourself. Write out how many hours you will dedicate to working out every week. It should read something like “I (your name) make a committment to spend (amount of hours) per week improving my golf game. You also want to put your goals on your contract. What are you trying to accomplish? Do you want to break 80? If so write that on your contract. Be honest and be realistic.

Now by realistic I mean you have to set a goal that you are willing to put in the time and effort to accomplish. If you want to break 80 in the next month but you are only willing to workout one hour a week then chances are you won’t break 80. Take into consideration your life and responsibilities as they will certainly be a factor in the amount of time you can committ to this.

The next thing you should do is consider getting a coach. A coach can help you reach your goals a lot quicker as they know exactly what to do to get you there. If you can’t afford a coach invest in a book that can help you reach your goals. You need some sort of guidence to help you accomplish your goals.

2 simple ways to improve your GolfSwing

    January 6, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

fsebook4 Want To Improve Your Golf Game So That You Can Break 80Golf is a game of focus and concentration. Just like anything else, in order to be great you have to master the basics. Once you master the basics you will be able to develop your own style of playing which will make the game more enjoyable for you.

The first thing you need to work on is keeping your head still and looking straight at the ball. Do this and you will see immediate improvements in your golf swing. Your head should be in perfect alignment with your spine. Make sure to raise your nose just a little bit so when you swing, your left shoulder goes under your chin. Don’t tuck your head into your chest. Doing this will prevent you from performing a proper golf swing.

Another thing that will improve your game greatly is relaxing. I know this is not the easiest thing when you have hundreds of eyes on you but you really have to relax. Keeping your muscles relaxed is the best way to make sure you perform the proper swing. No matter what golf club you use, the foundation of a proper swing is all in the balance. In order to have proper balance you must relax. If you are not relaxed your muscles will tense up and you won’t be able to hit the ball with as much force as you would like to.

So there you have it. Practice keeping your head still and relaxing and you will see a major change in your golf game.
