It used to be that you did not have any choices when it came to golf balls.  That has changed dramatically over the past years. There are many choices when it comes to finding a good ball and there are several things you need to know to take the guesswork out of it.

There are balls available for all skill levels and you need to determine what skill level you are on to purchase the best ball.  An experienced golfer will want a three piece ball that offers a lot of spin control.  This ball is more expensive, but well worth it when you play with it.

A less experienced golfer may want a two piece ball.  This type of ball is built for distance but you do not have as much control.  This is a good ball to start out with and is inexpensive.

There is also a mid grade ball that is a two piece but is a little softer which offers more control as well as distance.  This is a good ball for someone that is not a beginner anymore, but is not yet a professional and the price is in the medium grade as well.

There is a considerable difference in the numerous golf balls on the market.  If you find out what you skill level is you can find the perfect ball to help you with your game.  You can experiment with different balls until you find the one that you like the best and help you with your game.
